Cross country is a race to get kids fit and a good time to have fun.  We spend a good amount of time running in school. It’s tiring because you need to run a long way and you also get the stitch which makes you slow down. That’s why you should try to set goals.


You should never cross your arms when you’re running because that makes your energy go straight to the ground. Keep your face calm and make sure your shoulders are relaxed. When you're running up a hill trying to do little steps and when you're running on the flat try not to stomp on the ground because that makes you go slower.

Cross country is coming up so soon at HES. We are going out to run every day and we’re also doing different activities like the beep test and other running related fitness. Some students run at home to improve their running technique.
